A Work-at-Home scheme is a get-rich-quick scheme in which a victim is lured by an offer to be employed at home, very often doing some simple task in a minimal amount of time with a large amount of income that far exceeds the market rate for the type of work. The true purpose of such an offer is for the perpetrator to extort money from the victim.
Work-at-home schemes have been around for decades. Originally found as ads in newspapers or magazines, they have expanded to more high-tech media, such as television and radio ads, and on the Internet. Read more

Hi,
I wanted to know if you have heard of this work at home website its name is “Home Processing”. And the lady that talks on the site name is Diana De Angelo, a recruitment consultant. She talks about becoming an Affiliate Rebate Processor. A training program that cost $157.00, a one time fee. I notice on the site that there’s no contact info, just tells you how money can be made from processing rebate forms from, Home Depot,Block Buster, HP invent, The Gap, and Capital One.
The websites address is hprnews@mailvalues.net. I looked it up at the BBB website and came up with nothing.
Please help!
Hi Anna,
From my experience rebate processing programs are scams. That is not to say they do no exist, but most third party programs like the one you mentioned are probably a scam. What they will do once you sign up is give you details on how to contact companies like you mentioned and process rebates for them. I have never looked too far into this but I’m pretty sure all the information you would get for $157 could be obtained by you with a little research. Contact Home Depot, Block Buster and so forth to see if they offer such a program.
Hope that helps!
